Job summary

Tennova Healthcare- North Knoxville Medical Center is seeking a Radiation Therapy Lead to provide clinical leadership for radiation therapists, ensure accurate and safe treatments, and guide staff through training and daily operations on-site.

The role focuses on supervising workflow, implementing new technologies, QA processes, and collaboration with leadership to improve protocols. ARRT-T licensure and state credentials are required along with BCLS and strong leadership skills.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience as a Radiation Therapist.
• Prior lead or supervisory experience preferred.
• ARRT-T license is required.
• State licensure as applicable by state is required.
• BCLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily workflow and staffing for radiation therapists to ensure patient care.
• Provide clinical and didactic instruction to staff and students; ensure onboarding and safety standards.
• Review and revise departmental policies to reflect current best practices and regulations.
• Monitor treatment rooms, simulation and CT areas for staffing, functionality and safety compliance.
• Perform patient setup and deliver prescribed treatments per plans with proper immobilization and shielding.
• Conduct QA checks and warm-up procedures on equipment; report malfunctions.
• Troubleshoot minor equipment faults and coordinate with service personnel and leadership.
• Maintain a clean, safe, stocked treatment environment; restock supplies.
• Act as supervisor in the Radiation Therapy Supervisor's absence, as needed.
• Perform other duties and maintain reliable attendance.
• Comply with all policies and standards.
