Job summary

Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute is seeking a Radiation Therapist Lead to coordinate care in radiation oncology, oversee daily operations, and ensure safe staffing on linear accelerators at the Trinity/Cancer Center office.

The role requires ARRT (T) certification, a Florida CRT/RTT license, an Associate’s degree, and 5 years of clinical radiation therapy experience, plus leadership skills and BLS certification. Excellent SOP adherence and staff training are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree is required.
• Must have ARRT (T) certification.
• A valid Florida Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT, RTT) license in state of employment.
• Five (5) years of previous clinical radiation therapy experience required.
• Management/Leadership experience is needed.
• BLS required (AHA preferred)

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of the Vice President, Radiation Services Manager, Dosimetrist, Physicist and/or the Radiation Oncologist the Radiation Therapist Lead is responsible for the coordination of care as it relates to radiation oncology.
• Responsible for the daily operations of the technical operations.
• This includes daily treatments on the linear accelerators, special procedures and simulations.
• Responsible to know, understand and uphold the SOP’s.
• Orient and train staff on SOP’s and new procedures.
• Assure safe staffing levels on linear accelerators.
