Job summary

Texas Oncology in Longview, TX is seeking a Radiation Therapist to join our team. This role supports our TXO Longview location and delivers high-quality, patient-centered cancer care.

Responsibilities include delivering and recording treatments, maintaining EMR data, and training new therapists, with a focus on accuracy and safety. ARRT certification and state licensure are required.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited radiation therapy program.
  • ARRT certification required. Must hold valid state license for radiation therapy.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately delivers and records radiation therapy treatments under the direction of a radiation oncologist and chief radiation therapist.
  • Enter and maintain patient treatment parameters into the EMR; participate in clinical instruction of new therapists and students.
  • Maintain patient appointment schedule and submit correct billing information.
  • Cut blocks when applicable.
  • Make custom molds.
  • Complete simple MU calculations.
  • Interpret a computerized treatment plan.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

What does the Radiation Therapist do?

  • Assists in maintaining patient appointment schedule and submitting correct billing information.
  • Accurately cuts blocks, when applicable.
  • Accurately makes custom molds.
  • Accurately completes simple mu calculations.
  • Accurately interprets a computerized treatment plan.
  • Maintains clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Qualifications
  • The ideal candidate for the Radiation Therapist will have the following background and experience:
  • Graduate of an accredited radiation therapy technology program.
  • ARRT certification required. Must hold valid state license for radiation therapy.
