Job summary

MedStar Health in Washington, DC is seeking a Radiation Therapist to join our team at Medstar Georgetown University Hospital and Medstar Washington Hospital Center. You will administer radiation therapy, perform simulation procedures, and support planning and documentation in the EMR to ensure accurate treatment delivery.

The role emphasizes patient care, team collaboration, and adherence to safety protocols; a limited-time $12,500 sign-on bonus is offered to eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of Radiation Therapy Technology.
• ARRT Certification in Radiography.
• BLS for Healthcare Provider with AED.
• Maintains Maryland CE requirements (24 CE credits/2 years).

Responsibilities

• Records simulation, treatment delivery, and billing; follows QA processes.
• Performs CT simulation and uses HDR, Mold Room duties as required.
• Documents patient symptoms and treatment in the EMR; ensures charts are complete.
• Educates patients on treatment expectations and skin care; coordinates with clinicians.
• Operates linear accelerator and performs dose verification and safety checks.
