Job summary

Barnes-Jewish Hospital in Missouri is seeking a Certified Radiation Therapist to perform patient treatments using ionizing radiation under the supervision of a Radiation Oncologist.

The role requires completing treatment sequences, CT simulation planning, and coordinating patient scheduling while leveraging state-of-the-art equipment and programs. Eligible candidates hold ARRT RT(T) certification and have a Radiation Therapy background.

Qualifications

• Must have completed an accredited Radiation Therapy program.
• Board Certified by ARRT (RT(T)).
• Experience with CT simulation, SBRT/SRS is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patient and chart prior to start of procedure.
• Delivers accurate and consistent treatments to patients.
• Completes treatment process and coordinates patient scheduling.

Position Details:

• Day Shift Hours: 4 days @ 10 hour shifts (6:30am-5pm)
• NO Weekends or Call!!
• CT Simulation treatment planning scans, & IV starts
• Treatment experience (preferred)
• Could be a great fit if have CT Technologist and/or Dosimetrist experience
• Radiology, Medical Imaging, Cancer Care, Radiation Therapy, RT(T), Dosimetry, Radiation Oncology
• State of the Art & Various Treatment Machines (TrueBeam, Edge, ViewRay, Gamma Knife, Hyperthermia), CT Siemens GoOpenPro
• Treatment techniques utilizing the latest technology in the radiation therapy field (SBRT, SRS, Adaptive, OSMS, Identify, Hypersite)

Requirements:

• Completed an accredited Radiation Therapy program
• Board Certified by the ARRT
• RT(T)

Overview

Barnes-Jewish Hospital at Washington University Medical Center is the largest hospital in Missouri and is ranked as one of the nation's top hospitals by U.S. News & World Report. The Radiation Oncology Department houses a variety of therapeutic equipment, including 8 linear accelerators; a full Brachytherapy suite; a Gamma Knife center; two CT simulators and a dedicated MRI unit. The department supports two radiation therapy technology programs and a medical dosimeter programs via affiliations with local universities.

Role Purpose

Performs patient treatments utilizing ionizing radiation under the direction of the Radiation Oncologist.
