Job summary

Lovelace Medical Center in Albuquerque, NM, seeks a day shift, full-time Satellite Oncology Radiation Therapist. You will administer ionizing radiation under the Radiation Oncologist's prescription, perform quality checks, and ensure patient safety in a hospital setting.

Required CAHEA radiologic program, NM Radiation Therapy License, BLS, and at least one year of related experience. A sign-on bonus and relocation assistance may be available.

• Knowledge of Anatomy, Physiology, and Radiation Safety procedures.
• Knowledge of a variety of software applicant programs.
• One year of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides health care services using ionizing radiation to administer treatment of cancer in accordance with the prescription and instruction of the Radiation Oncologist.
• Performs therapeutic, diagnostic, and quality control procedures.
• Adheres to policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• Graduate of the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation (CAHEA) radiologic program or equivalent.
• Knowledge of a variety of software applicant programs; Knowledge of Anatomy, Physiology, and Radiation Safety procedures.
• One (1) year of related experience.
• NM Radiation Therapy Licensed.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
