  • Work Schedule:Full Time, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)
  • Shift:Day and Evening Rotation
  • Pay:$43.70 - $61.17 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience

Summary

Administersradiation therapy as prescribed by a physician in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization.

Responsibilities
  • Reviews patient history, physician orders, and the radiation therapy treatment plan. Educates patients on procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation. Continuously monitors patient condition and responds appropriately to changes in status.
  • Collaborates with physicians and dosimetrists to determine the patient treatment plan. Delivers radiation therapy according to the prescribed plan, including independently performing advanced CT simulations (e.g., 4D, IV contrast, Deep Inspiration Breath Hold (DIBH), Brachytherapy) or operating the linear accelerator for complex treatments (e.g., Stereotactic Body Radiotherapy (SBRT), Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS), Surface Guided Radiotherapy (SGRT), Real Time Imaging (RTI), 4D-Cone Beam CT).
  • Positions patients and performs imaging procedures. Analyzes image quality, identifies issues, and takes corrective actions such as repositioning or repeating procedures. Enters, transmits, and reports imaging results accurately.
  • Prepares equipment and supplies, including the linear accelerator. Selects appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters, implements safety standards, performs quality control procedures, and troubleshoots, resolves, or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary.
  • Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiation Therapy Technologist program.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT(T)) Certification.
  • BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.
