Job summary

A healthcare provider in Ohio is seeking a Radiation Therapist to join their team. The role involves working under the direction of Radiation Oncologists and ensuring patient safety in radiation treatment delivery. Candidates must have ARRT certification and a degree in Radiologic Science. Experience is preferred but new therapists are welcome. This is a full-time day position.

Qualifications

  • ARRT certification is mandatory.
  • Licensed in Radiation Therapy by the State of Ohio.
  • Certification must be maintained as required.

Responsibilities

  • Work as part of the Radiation Oncology team for patient treatment.
  • Advocate for safe care delivery.
  • Perform duties assigned by the Department Manager.

Responsibilities & Requirements

Under the direction of the Medical Director and the department Radiation Oncologists, works as a member of the Radiation Oncology team in the accurate treatment and simulation of patients. The radiation therapist is responsible for his/her own professional development and practices within the scope of care defined by law.

Utilizing organizational resources the radiation therapist acts as a patient advocate for the delivery of safe care, including participation in performance improvement activities. The delivery of radiation treatments within the Kettering Health Network reflects the missions, vision, values, and philosophies of the organization and the department.

Performs other duties as assigned. The Radiation Therapist reports to the Department Manager.

Requirements
  • ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy.
  • Licensed by the State of Ohio in Radiation Therapy.
  • Associate’s Degree or higher in Radiologic Science or certification in Radiation Therapy
  • BLS certification
  • Maintain certification as required by their licensing bodies
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1 year of experience preferred, new therapists welcome
