Job summary

Penn State Health Milton Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, PA, is hiring a Radiation Therapist to administer ionizing radiation to patients under the Radiation Oncologist's prescriptions. This full-time, dayshift opportunity includes comprehensive benefits and eligibility for tuition support.

Ideal candidates hold ARRT certification (or can obtain within 3 months) and BLS, with CT simulation or brachytherapy experience preferred.

• BLS Certification is required.

SUMMARY OF POSITION

Administer accurate ionizing radiation to patients in accordance with prescriptions and instructions of the Radiation Oncologist.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S)

• High school degree or equivalent

• ARRT certification or ability to obtain ARRT certification within three (3) months of hire required

• BLS Certification required

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S)

• Aria 13.6 or greater preferred

• Varian Equipment including proficiency on TrueBeam preferred

• CT Simulation experience preferred

• Brachytherapy experience preferred

• Minimum one (1) year experience post ARRT certification preferred

• Bachelor’s degree in an approved program of radiologic technology or health care field preferred
