Job summary

Great Falls Clinic Hospital, a Montana community health leader, seeks a Radiation Therapist to deliver prescribed radiation therapy under the oncologist's direction. You will work with dosimetry and medical physics teams, perform IGRT, CT simulation, and ensure accurate treatment delivery and documentation.

New graduates are welcome; ARRT certification is required or eligible. A collaborative, patient-centered team environment with a focus on safety and quality is offered.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited radiation therapy educational program.
  • ARRT certification and registration in Radiation Therapy (T), or eligibility per policy.
  • New graduates may be considered; experience with IGRT/IMRT/VMAT is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Administer prescribed radiation therapies under supervision of Oncology team.
  • Perform patient identification, treatment verification, and documentation in EMR.
  • Conduct image matching and target localization per protocol; assist with motion management.
  • Collaborate with Radiation Oncologist, Medical Physicist, Dosimetrist, and nursing staff.
  • Monitor patients during treatment and respond to urgent clinical situations.

Position Overview

The Radiation Therapist administers prescribed radiation therapy treatments under the direction of the Radiation Oncologist and in collaboration with the Medical Physicist, Dosimetrist, nursing staff, and other members of the radiation oncology team. Other responsibilities may include performing patient identification and treatment verification, performing image-guided radiation therapy (IGRT), applying immobilization and positioning devices, performing image matching and target localization according to department protocols, participating in motion-management techniques, monitoring patients during treatment and responds to urgent clinical situations, documenting treatments accurately in the electronic medical record and collaborating with the Radiation Oncologist, Medical Physicist, Dosimetrist, nursing staff,, and other members of the oncology team. Receives direction from: Director of Oncology Services/ direct job supervision from Chief Radiation Therapist.

Education
  • Graduate of an accredited radiation therapy educational program
Experience
  • New Graduate/entry level applicants may be considered
  • Experience with CT simulation, IGRT, IMRT/VMAT, SBRT/SRS, or other advanced techniques, preferred
  • Previous radiation therapy experience preferred
License/Certifications
  • ARRT certification and registration in Radiation Therapy (T), or eligibility for certification/registration as permitted by organizational policy

  • Maintain accurate documentation
  • Work independently while recognizing when consultation/escalation is required
