Job summary

Community Hospital is seeking a Radiation Therapist in Grand Junction, CO to deliver safe, accurate treatments aligned with each patient’s plan of care. You will guide patients, position them with precision, and document parameters throughout the process.

The role emphasizes direct patient communication, room preparation, and collaboration with the care team to ensure timely, high-quality treatment delivery. BLS certification is required, with strong emphasis on safety norms.

Qualifications

• Performs radiation therapy treatments.
• Explains treatment procedures to patients.
• Prepares the treatment room and equipment; transfers patients to treatment areas; and position patients for treatments.
• Checks daily treatment parameters; deliver the prescribed dosage and maintains treatment records.
• Photographs patients in the treatment position and observes patients for unusual changes of dosage.
• Maintains supplies for the treatment room.
• Schedules patients for treatment on treatment machines.

• Maintain an organized, well-stocked treatment room to promote efficient patient care.
• Coordinate patient schedules across treatment machines to support a smooth and timely care experience.

Compensation

The anticipated compensation range for this position is $41.00 - $47.15 per hour, commensurate with qualifications, education, experience, and other applicable factors. This position is non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act.

Additional compensation may be available in the form of discretionary incentive or other compensation programs. Any such additional compensation is not guaranteed and is determined at the sole discretion of the organization based on applicable program terms, individual and/or organizational performance, and other eligibility requirements.
