Job summary

LiveWell Homecare Agency, LLC is seeking a PRN Staff Radiation Therapist to apply ionizing radiation in the Radiation Oncology Department. You will deliver precise therapy per physician prescriptions, operate equipment safely, and assess patient needs across all ages.

The role requires a focused safety mindset, collaboration with the care team, and the ability to simulate treatments and document procedures in the EMR. On-call rotations may apply.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Radiation Therapy from an accredited program.
• Minimum 1 year of Radiation Therapy experience.
• ARRT Radiation Therapy certification to be obtained upon hire.
• BLS-Instructor certification to be obtained upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Participate in QA monitoring and ensure accurate treatment delivery.
• Assess and educate patients and families, document in EMR.
• Follow safety protocols and wear radiation badges.
• Simulate treatments, schedule appointments, communicate changes.
• Assist with patient setup and seek help when needed.
• Report adverse reactions and follow safety policies.
• Contribute as a student clinical instructor and participate in on-call rotations.

Role Overview: The PRN Staff Radiation Therapist applies ionizing radiation in the Radiation Oncology Department, delivering precise therapy according to physician prescriptions. They operate radiation equipment safely, perform complex procedures, and assess patient needs across all age groups.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in Quality Control monitoring and ensure accurate treatment delivery.
• Assess patient mobility, educate patients and families on side effects and treatment aids, and document procedures in the EMR.
• Follow safety protocols, wear radiation badges, and practice universal precautions.
• Simulate patient treatments, schedule appointments, and communicate changes effectively.
• Assist with patient set-up, recognize limitations, and seek help as needed.
• Report adverse reactions immediately and adhere to policies for safety and treatment accuracy.
• Contribute as a student clinical instructor, evaluate peers, and participate in on-call rotations.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Associate's Degree from an accredited Radiation Therapy program and Radiologic Technology School (JRCERT).
• Minimum of 1 year experience in Radiation Therapy.
• Certifications: ARRT Radiation Therapy and BLS-Instructor, to be obtained upon hire.
• Ability to treat and simulate patients with precision and professionalism.
