Job summary

Adventist Health Lodi Memorial seeks a Radiation Therapist to administer prescribed radiotherapy to patients and support treatment workflows. You will prepare treatment rooms, verify patient identity, and ensure safety protocols are followed in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Responsibilities include monitoring patients for adverse reactions, coordinating with physicians, and providing clinical supervision for students as needed within our radiology department.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and ARRT RTT certification required.
• CPR or BLS certification required.
• Fluoroscopy permit and state licensing as applicable.

Education and Work Experience:

Bachelor's Degree in radiological technology or equivalent (some certifications will require Bachelor's): Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiation Therapy (AART-T) and Certification of Therapeutic Radiology Technology (RTT): RequiredCardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Fluoroscopy Permit from the state of practice, Department of Health Services: ARRT-Radiation Therapy (ARRT-T): RequiredFacility Specific License/Certifications:

~ Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Delivers the prescribed course of radiation therapy by checking prescription, diagnosis chart, and patient identification. Prepares room and equipment for patient according to prescription or simulation regarding immobilization devices, etc., transfers patient to treatment couch, giving attention to the special needs of the patient.Observes patients for unusual reactions and for signs and symptoms of developing complications during treatment, reporting reactions and complications to supervisor and department physicianProvides clinical supervision and evaluates students' practical ability to perform procedures.
