Job summary

Augusta Health in Fishersville, Virginia is seeking a Radiation Therapist (Part-time) to deliver prescribed treatments under guidance of radiation oncologists. You will perform CT simulation, maintain patient safety and confidentiality, and uphold professional standards.

Featuring on-site work, this role requires ARRT certification, CPR-BLS, and ability to participate in on-call duties. Prior radiation therapy experience is preferred to support a quality patient care environment.

Qualifications

• ARRT in Radiation Therapy certification (required or eligible) and renewal annually.
• CPR-BLS certification.
• Experience with CT simulation.
• Experience delivering prescribed radiation treatment.
• Ability to participate in on-call and calc review.
• Familiarity with verification simulation.

• Pay or shift range: $32.13 USD to $49.16 USD The pay range reflects the current compensation range for this position at the time of posting. Individual offers are determined based on directly related experience, skills, education, internal equity, and other job-related factors. Not all candidates will qualify for the upper end of the posted range.

Description

The Radiation Therapist:

• Demonstrates comprehensive understanding of ionizing radiation treatment, CT simulation and technology and delivers prescribed treatment plan based on direction from the radiation oncologist(s).
• Maintains high professional standards of conduct and patient care, ensuring patient and employee safety and confidentiality.
• Adheres to the employee expectations and values set forth.

Experience Desired

• 2 or more years of experience as a radiation therapist in a progressive environment preferred

License Requirements

• Certified or certification eligible by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiation
• Therapy (renewed annually)
• Certification in CPR- BLS
• Verification Simulation
• On Call/Calc Review
• CT Simulation
• Radiation Treatment Delivery

Work Conditions

• Exposure to radiation
• Exposure to blood|body fluids and infectious disease
• Uses the ability to Hear, Speak, See, Smell, Distinguish color, Write legibly, Read, and Pay attention to detail
• Must be able to take weekday and weekend call
