Job summary

Mercy Health in Perrysburg is seeking a Radiation Therapist to manage daily treatment operations and ensure high-quality patient care. You will work under the Radiation Oncologist, Physicist, and Manager to deliver therapy services and uphold safety standards.

The role requires ARRT certification, CPR, and state licensure. A minimum of one year in radiation therapy and CT simulation is preferred, with strong communication and teamwork skills essential.

Qualifications

• License in Radiation Oncology in the state of practice (required or for acute sites in VA).
• ARRT Radiation Oncology Certification required.
• CPR certification required.
• 1 year experience in Radiation Therapy and CT Simulation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sets up treatment rooms, devices and parameters per Radiation Oncologist orders.
• Identifies and monitors patients during treatment.
• Reinforces instructions and maintains patient markings.
• Positions patients according to prescriptions with physical effort and focus.
• Coordinates treatment area activities and scheduling.
• Documents thoroughly in treatment records.
• Performs simulations, brachytherapy procedures and daily QA on equipment.
• Maintains equipment, reports problems and observes radiation safety.
• Assists with device changes and follows Radiation Oncologist guidance.
• Handles ancillary duties like filing, phones, and supplies.
