Job summary

Henry Ford Health seeks a Therapist-Radiation to administer radiation therapy, position patients, and support treatment delivery in a collaborative team. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with experience or an associate/technical degree or 4 years of job-specific experience.
• Graduate of an accredited radiation therapy program.
• One of the listed credentials obtained by hire date (CCI, ARRT RT, ARDMS) or BLS by hire date.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and position patients, selecting anatomic parameters accurately.
• Deliver treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and dosimetrists.
• Maintain detailed records of all therapy sessions.
• Maintain and adjust equipment, including linear accelerators.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Assist in maintaining a clean, safe department.

As a Therapist-Radiation, you will administer radiation therapy by exposing specific areas of the patient's body to prescribed doses of radiation. What You Will Need

Required Qualifications

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience.
• Graduate of an accredited school of radiation therapy.
• One or more of the following required:
  • Cardiographic Tech credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiation Therapy credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.
  • Medical Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.
  • BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Preferred Qualifications

• Varian/ARIA experience preferred.
