Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Radiation Therapy program.
• ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy.
• State licensure as required.
• Previous experience in radiation therapy preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer external beam radiation therapy as prescribed by the radiation oncologist.
• Set up and position patients accurately, utilizing appropriate techniques and imaging for precise treatment delivery.
• Operate and maintain radiation therapy equipment, ensuring it functions correctly and safely.
• Collaborate with oncologists, physicists, and other healthcare professionals to plan and modify treatment plans.
• Monitor and assess patients for side effects or complications and provide appropriate support.
• Maintain thorough documentation of treatment records, including daily treatments and patient responses.
• Educate patients on the treatment process, potential side effects, and provide emotional support.
• Adhere to safety protocols, including radiation protection standards, to minimize exposure to staff and patients.
• Participate in regular quality assurance checks to ensure equipment and processes meet standards.
• Attend team meetings and assist in case reviews when necessary.
