Job summary

Akumin is hiring a Radiation Therapist for our Reno, NV facility. You will deliver radiation treatment per prescription, ensure patient safety, and document treatment details while providing compassionate care.

Qualifications include an Associate's degree or certificate in Radiation Therapy, ARRT(T) certification (preferred or eligible), CPR, and completion of background checks and drug screening. Vaccination may be required.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or certificate in radiation therapy or related program.
• ARRT(T) certification required or in the process to obtain.
• CPR certification required.
• COVID-19 vaccination may be a condition of employment.
• Pre-employment background check and drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver radiation treatment per prescription and treatment plan under supervision.
• Ensure safety and accurate documentation of treatment records.
• Position patient, deliver treatment from the control room, assist patient to exit.
• Provide compassionate patient care and explain procedures to patients and families.
• Document treatment records and QA checks to ensure quality care.
• Notify team of deviations and coordinate with RT mentor or Physicist.
• Input treatment data into the EMR and assist in related procedures.
• Participate in programs to measure and improve quality of care.
• Capture and verify patient treatment charges.
