Job summary

MemorialCare Health System at Saddleback Medical Center in Laguna Hills, CA seeks a Radiation Therapist to perform technical duties and support department operations. The role emphasizes safe, high-quality imaging and patient care for diverse patient ages and conditions.

Competitive pay includes $63.00–$92.00 per hour with a $10,000 signing bonus for external hires, contingent on requirements. ARRT RT license is required; CA CRT license preferred; BCLS must be current.

Qualifications

• Current California licenses and ARRT RT certification are required or preferred.
• One year of acute care experience or equivalent is expected.
• BCLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes all electronic systems effectively and appropriately.
• Assists with clerical duties.
• Demonstrates the required technical knowledge to perform quality imaging for all diagnostic exams and procedures while providing quality patient care and safety.
• Performs quality imaging appropriate to patients of all ages and conditions.
• Assures appropriate patient identification is performed and indication and history for exam is documented.
• Ensures patient and family education is accomplished as appropriate and according to department policies.
• Ability to be at work and be on time
• Ability to follow company policies, procedures and directives
• Ability to interact in a positive and constructive manner
• Ability to prioritize and multitask

Education

Current California Diagnostic and Therapeutic Radiology Technology (RHA) or Therapeutic

Radiologic Technology (RHT) required

Current CRT license in the State of California (preferred)

Current ARRT (RT) license, Radiation Therapy (required)

Current fluoroscopy license in California (preferred)

Current American Heart Association Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) card required
