Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a Radiation Therapist to administer ionizing radiation per physician prescription and to oversee patient simulation, immobilization, and treatment summaries. This role supports a collaborative clinical team and emphasizes patient education, safety, and high-quality care.

Responsibilities include performing simulations, ensuring machine readiness, and maintaining accurate daily billing information for procedures while coordinating scheduling to treat patients

Qualifications

• Radiology Tech License in the state of practice, if applicable.
• Certification in Radiation Therapy from the ARRT.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers.
• Bachelor's degree in Radiation Therapy preferred from an accredited institution.

Responsibilities

• Interprets and implements prescription and treatment plan; delivers and charts all simulation and treatment summaries.
• Performs simulation procedures and prepares immobilization devices; obtains measurements for dosimetry.
• Assesses treatment machines and performs daily equipment warm-up and quality assurance checks.
• Assists in clinical training and evaluation of student therapists if applicable.
• Communicates effectively, both verbally and in writing, with the clinical team.
• Provides basic patient care during treatment and supports patient education and wellbeing.
