Job summary

Medix™ in Dallas seeks a Radiation Therapist to administer radiation therapy under direct supervision, ensuring precise beam positioning and accurate dose delivery to the designated tumor volume.

You will document treatments in the EMR, help manage the appointment schedule and billing information, and support treatment planning activities such as block cutting, mold creation, and basic dose calculations.

Must hold ARRT certification and a valid state license for radiation therapy.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiation Therapy technology program.
• ARRT certification is required.
• Must hold a valid state license for radiation therapy.
• 1+ years of clinical experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and record radiation therapy treatments under supervision.
• Enter and maintain patient treatment parameters in the EMR.
• Assist with patient scheduling and submission of correct billing information.
• Perform block cutting, custom mold creation, simple dose calculations, and interpretation of treatment plans.

Job description

The Radiation Therapist, under direct supervision, administers radiation therapy treatments to patients. Accuracy in positioning the beam of radiation to correspond with the designated tumor volume and accurately delivering the prescribed dose are paramount job functions.

Responsibilities:

• Delivers and records radiation therapy treatments under the direction of a radiation oncologist and chief radiation therapist.
• Enters and maintains patient treatment parameters into electronic medical record.
• Assists in maintaining the patient appointment schedule and submitting correct billing information.
• Accurately cut blocks, make custom molds, complete simple mu calculations, and interpret computerized treatment plans.

Required Skills:

• Graduate of an accredited Radiation Therapy technology program.
• ARRT certification required.
• Must hold valid state license for radiation therapy.
