Job summary

Urology-Clinics-of-North-Texas is seeking a Radiation Therapist to provide safe, accurate radiation therapy under supervision. You will maintain treatment records, prepare rooms and equipment, and ensure precise dose delivery per the oncologist’s plan.

The role requires ARRT registration, Texas licensure, and BLS, with preferred experience in ARIA, Eclipse, Varian TrueBeam, and CT simulation. You will work in a patient-centered team to support timely cancer care.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree from an accredited Radiation Therapy program or completion of an approved certificate program.
• Current ARRT registration in Radiation Therapy.
• Current Texas Medical Radiologic Technologist licensure or equivalent to practice in Texas.
• Current Basic Life Support certification.
• Experience with ARIA, Eclipse, Varian TrueBeam, CT simulation, and image-guided radiation therapy is preferred.
• Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist credential in Texas is a plus.
• One or more years of recent radiation oncology experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver prescribed courses of radiation therapy accurately and with minimal supervision, following the prescription and treatment plan.
• Confirm patient identity, diagnosis, treatment site, prescription, calculations, and required approvals before treatment.
• Prepare the treatment room and equipment per physician instructions and immobilization needs.
• Transfer and position patients safely on the treatment couch with assistive devices as needed.
• Ensure proper radiation dose delivery and daily recording of treatment.
• Acquire and review treatment images per standards and escalate discrepancies.
• Explain procedures and educate patients on side effects and care.
• Maintain patient contact during treatment and respond to emergencies.
• Document simulation and treatment parameters in ARIA and charts.
• Perform weekly chart checks and ensure CPT capture; maintain clean areas.
