Job summary

Olympic Medical Center on the North Olympic Peninsula in Washington seeks a radiologic technologist specialized in radiotherapy. You will operate therapy equipment, perform simulations and planning, and contribute to treatment planning through dosimetry calculations.

Required credentials include ARRT R.T.(T) and WA Radiologic Technologist Certification with BLS due within 30 days of hire; a two-year degree is preferred and three years of clinical radiotherapy experience is desirable.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree from two-year college or technical school graduation preferred.
• Three years clinical experience in radiotherapy and dosimetric treatments preferred.
• ARRT R.T.(T) credential required; WA Radiologic Technologist Certification required; BLS certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Primary responsibility is to safely deliver the prescribed course of radiation therapy and perform simulation and planning techniques according to procedure.
• Operates radiotherapy and radiologic equipment for the treatment of patients and produces radiography (x-rays) of the body for treatment planning purposes.
• Undertakes dosimetric calculations and fabricates all aspects of lead blocks for treatment purposes.

Education

• Night - $5.00/hour

Premiums:

• Standby - $4.00/hour
• Lead - $3.25/hour
• Per Diem - 15% (on base, in lieu of benefits)
• Certification - $2.00/hour
• Trainer - $2.00/hour
• Student Coord - $2.00/hour, 2+ = $3.25/hour
