Hannibal Regional Hospital in Missouri seeks a Radiation Therapist to operate ionizing radiation delivery equipment in accordance with Radiation Oncologist prescriptions. The role includes pretreatment simulations and fabrication of treatment devices to ensure accurate therapy.

The ideal candidate holds ARRT certification, Missouri licensure or eligibility, and demonstrates strong safety protocol adherence in handling radiation sources and equipment.

Formación

• ARRT certification is required.
• Missouri state licensure or eligibility.
• Knowledge of operation methods and safety standards for radiation equipment.
• Experience with handling radiation sources.
• Ability to follow prescriptions and instructions from Radiation Oncologist.

• Safely operate equipment delivering ionizing radiation.

Descripción del empleo

To safely and correctly operate equipment delivering ionizing radiation for the purpose of treating neoplastic diseases or for other therapeutic purposes. To apply ionizing radiation to patients in accordance with the prescription and instruction of the Radiation Oncologist. To carry out pretreatment preparations including simulations and fabrication of treatment devices.

• Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) required
• Licensed by the state of Missouri or eligible for licensure required
• Must be knowledgeable of the operation methods and safety standards of all equipment producing ionizingradiation within the department
• Must be knowledgeable of the handling of radiation sources
• Possesses experience and capabilities as seemed sufficiant by the Chief Therapist and Radiation Oncologist
