Essentia Health in Fargo, ND is hiring a Radiation Therapist for a 0.6 FTE position. The role involves operating treatment and simulation equipment, supporting treatment planning, and delivering patient-centered care under the Radiation Oncologist's direction.

Responsibilities include CT simulations, patient positioning, treatment delivery, and accurate documentation in the EHR, with a focus on safety and collaboration across staff. Hours are Mon-Fri with no weekends or on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved radiation therapist program.
• ARRT registration in Radiation Therapy
• North Dakota Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy (NDMIRT) Board of Examiners licensure
• Current BLS/CPR certification
• 1+ year of Radiation Therapist experience preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Provide treatment delivery and imaging as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist.
• Perform CT simulations and patient positioning.
• Monitor patient safety and comfort during treatment.
• Maintain machine quality assurance and accurate documentation in the EHR.

The 0.6 Flex position is scheduled for 3 days per week or 6 days per 2-week pay period. Hours or shifts may flex depending on clinic needs. This position is Monday-Friday. No weekends, holidays, or on-call rotations are required.

The Radiation Therapist provides specialized, patient-centered care to patients undergoing radiation therapy, operates treatment and simulation equipment and technology, supports treatment planning, and adheres to quality and safety standards while maintaining patient confidentiality.

Responsibilities include treatment delivery and imaging, CT simulations, patient positioning, patient monitoring, machine quality assurance, and documentation within the EHR. The Radiation Therapist possesses the knowledge and skill to accurately deliver doses of radiation as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist, ensure patient safety, monitor the effects of radiation, and effectively interact and collaborate with patients, family members, and staff.

Education Qualifications:

Graduate of an approved radiation therapist program.

Licensure/Certification Qualifications:

American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registration in Radiation Therapy

North Dakota Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy (NDMIRT) Board of Examiners licensure

Current BLS/CPR certification

1+ year of Radiation Therapist experience preferred but not required
