Job Description

Day Shift 8 hours/day 5 days/week

Title: Radiation Therapist
Location: Charleston SC
Duration: 13 week assignment
Shift: M-F, Days (8hr shifts)between 7am-6pm,

Job Description:
  • Schedule is typically M-F, Days (8hr shifts) anywhere between 7am-6pm, no call but there is not a fixed daily schedule, the expection is that they work 40 hours over a five-day workweek. ***Please note the below scheduling notes from the manager***
  • They are scheduled Monday through Friday; however, there is not a fixed daily shift. The expectation is that they work 40 hours over the five-day workweek.
  • I recently discussed this topic with several of our current travelers. They shared that their contracts specifically state Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. We would prefer that the contracts not be so specific regarding daily work hours due to the nature of our field and the variability of patient schedules and operational needs from day to day.
  • If we were to have a traveler who insisted on adhering strictly to the 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM schedule outlined in their contract, we could find ourselves without the coverage needed to adequately support patient care and departmental operations. Greater flexibility in the contract language would help ensure we can maintain appropriate coverage while still meeting the agreed-upon 40-hour workweek.

** The contractor will can rotate to other locations as well if needed.
