• Recommends and develops policies for inspection standards, decontamination procedures, emergency procedures, waste handling, and disposal services.
• Controls personnel radiation exposures, environmental releases, and surface-type contaminants.
• Stays abreast of radiation protection regulations and ensures compliance with standards.
• May develop and direct radiation training and monitoring programs.
