Job summary

Holtec International is seeking a Radiation Protection Technician to support radiological protection at the Palisades Nuclear Power Plant restart. The role is on-site in Covert, MI, focusing on contamination control, dose tracking, and radiological work planning.

The RP Technician will maintain ALARA standards, respond to abnormal conditions, and participate in Emergency Response activities, with potential shift rotations as needed.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
• RP Tech/Health Physicist III: 4 years commercial nuclear experience.
• RP Tech/Health Physicist II: 2 years commercial nuclear experience.
• Proficiency with current computer business applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide contamination and dose control.
• Track radiation exposure for personnel and tasks; seek exposure reduction methods.
• Provide radiological protection coverage for work tasks; establish stay times.
• Establish radiological work requirements; respond to abnormal conditions.
• Maintain exposures ALARA and support the RWP program.
• Radiologically post the plant and assess adverse conditions on equipment and personnel.
