Job summary

Keck Medicine of USC’s Norris Radiation Oncology unit in Los Angeles is seeking a Registered Nurse for per diem 8-hour day shifts. This RN will participate in direct patient care, education, and coordination across the oncology team within a unionized environment.

Qualifications

• BSN required; grandfathered from BSN if hired prior to 12/2019.
• 1 year acute inpatient hospital RN experience.
• Excellent communication skills in English (read/write/speak).
• Knowledge of medical procedures and blood collection/apheresis per policies.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients to determine actual or potential problems.
• Formulate care plans with physicians and other health professionals.
• Ensure continuity of care during hospital stay and transitions.
• Advocate for patients and families using the nursing process.
• Provide direct and indirect patient care per physician orders.
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and tests.
