Job summary

Texas Oncology in Amarillo is seeking a Radiation Oncology Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This full-time role supports the Radiation department with a Monday–Friday schedule, 8:30am–5pm, and no weekends, call, or major holidays.

Eligible for level 1, 2, or Sr based on experience. The RN provides professional nursing care, collaborates with a multidisciplinary team, and participates in quality initiatives while upholding regulatory standards.

Qualifications

Graduate from an accredited program for professional nursing education, BSN preferred.
RN state license and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in practicing state.
0-3 years nursing experience, preferably at least one year in oncology.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate and promote the continuity of care consistent with established standards and practices.
Assesses health status by interviewing patient regarding current status and medical history; provides teaching and psychosocial support.
Triages patient phone calls, documents information, and coordinates services with the interdisciplinary team.
Assist patients in locating available community resources.
Acts as a resource to LPN/LVNs and medical assistants.
