Job summary

Ohio State University is seeking a Radiation Physicist to lead clinical medical physics services within the Department of Radiation Oncology. The role focuses on prescription evaluation, treatment design collaboration, and ensuring calibration and safety of radiation therapy equipment.

With ABR eligibility and at least two years of clinical experience, you will contribute to plan development, dosimetry maintenance, and safety surveys while supporting research initiatives in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Master of Science degree with math/physics concentration, preferably in Medical Physics.
• Extensive progressively responsible experience in Radiation Oncology/Clinical Physics.
• Minimum of two years of clinical experience in Radiation Oncology.
• ABR eligible at minimum; expected to obtain ABR certification within 3 years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional medical physics services under indirect supervision in Radiation Oncology.
• Evaluate and interpret medical radiation treatment prescriptions and assist in treatment design.
• Oversee treatment plan development, calibration, and safety surveys of equipment and dosimetry.
• Support clinical research as required.
