Job summary

Wellstar Health Systems, Inc. seeks an Assoc Radiation Oncology Physicist or Radiation Oncology Physicist to ensure quality care in radiation therapy and protection for patients and staff.

The role involves calibration, QA, dosimetry, and collaboration with medical physicists and staff. Remote work is not indicated; the position requires onsite presence, with sign-on bonus and relocation offered for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Board-eligible or board-certified ABR required with eligibility to complete board certification within four years.
• Minimum 3 years of clinical experience in radiation therapy or completion of CAMPEP residency.
• Must communicate effectively in English and operate in a team-based environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure quality care in the use of radiation sources and imaging equipment.
• Calibrate and perform QC on radiation therapy devices to ensure patient safety.
• Plan and verify radiation treatments and dosimetry accuracy.
• Educate staff on radiation protection practices and safety procedures.
• Maintain documentation and participate in protocol studies and QA checks.
