St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Lewiston, Idaho, is seeking a Radiation Oncology Nurse to provide specialized nursing care to patients receiving radiation therapy.

You will collaborate with radiation oncologists, therapists, physicists, and a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe and effective treatment, assess needs, educate patients, and support care across the treatment continuum. The role requires RN licensure, 2+ years of nursing experience, and preferred oncology/radiation oncology

Formación

• RN with state licensure required upon hire.
• 2+ years of clinical nursing experience required.
• Experience in oncology or radiation oncology preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Provide direct nursing care to patients undergoing radiation therapy.
• Assess patients and manage treatment-related symptoms and side effects.
• Educate patients and families about procedures, side effects, and follow-up care.
• Collaborate with radiation oncologists and multidisciplinary teams to plan care.
• Monitor for acute and delayed side effects and report to the care team.
• Maintain accurate EMR documentation of patient care activities.
• Uphold infection prevention and radiation safety standards.
• Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
