Job summary

Tennessee Oncology's Cleveland Radiation Oncology unit is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our team full-time. The RN will provide patient care, monitor treatment, and collaborate with radiology and oncology staff throughout the radiation therapy course.

The ideal candidate holds an RN license in Tennessee, an associate or bachelor's degree in nursing, and BLS certification, with 2+ years in oncology or radiation oncology preferred; EMR proficiency required.

Qualifications

Associates or Bachelors in nursing; RN license in Tennessee.
BLS certification required; ONS/ONCC Radiation Therapy certification preferred.
2+ years of oncology or radiation oncology nursing preferred.
Excellent clinical, communication and teamwork skills.
Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR).

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive patient assessments including physical, psychological, and social factors.
Monitor treatment response and document in the Oncology Information Management System.
Educate patients and families about radiation therapy and self-care.
Collaborate in multidisciplinary meetings and coordinate procedures.
