Job summary

Washington University in St. Louis is seeking a passionate Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) to join its Radiation Oncology team.

The APP will provide comprehensive care to individuals diagnosed with cancer, guiding them from initial diagnosis through acute treatment and survivorship. The department offers a structured 2–3 month clinical orientation with mentorship, credentialing, and ongoing education; clinic hours are Monday through Friday with a 4x10 schedule, and the APP may work at CAM

Qualifications

• Master of Science in Nursing with emphasis in the Nurse Practitioner program.
• Advanced Practical Nurse licensure or ability to obtain within three months of date of hire.
• Basic Life Support certification (BLS) required.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care, including history, assessment, orders and management of acute and chronic conditions.
• May bill for services under collaborative practice agreement.
• Educates patients and families on disease management and prevention and quality of life improvement.
• Maintains accuracy of medical records and required reports.
• Leads safety and education initiatives for ITB pump programs and participates in clinical research activities.
