Job summary
The Department of Radiation Oncology at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) – Orangeburg is seeking a qualified Radiation Oncology Medical Physicist to join our growing team. This position offers a hybrid work schedule with opportunities for professional growth and academic engagement.

Qualifications
- MS or PhD in Medical Physics is required or equivalent.
- Board certification by the ABR or eligibility (including 2025 CAMPEP grads) is required.
- Extensive experience with Varian systems (TrueBeam, Trilogy, Eclipse, ARIA, VariSeed) and CT simulation is highly desirable.
- Strong programming and scripting skills are a plus for automation and clinical innovation.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to clinical operations and quality assurance within the radiation oncology physics program.
- Collaborate with the system Chief of Physics and regional Chief of Physics to uphold high standards of care.
