Job summary

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, OH is seeking a Radiation Physicist 2 to oversee calibration of treatment machines, dosimetry equipment, and radiation safety within the Department of Radiation Oncology.

Under indirect supervision, you will interpret prescriptions, collaborate on treatment plan design, supervise dosimetrists, and contribute to equipment monitoring, QA, and clinical research as required.

Qualifications

• Master's of Science Degree in Math and Physics.
• American Board of Radiology Certification within three years of hire.
• 0 years of relevant experience required. 0-2 years of relevant experience preferred. This position is for supporting the Proton Therapy operations and previous experience with Proton Radiotherapy is very desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional medical physics services in Radiation Oncology.
• Evaluate and interpret medical radiation treatment prescriptions; collaborate with medical providers in design and modification of radiation treatments; oversee treatment plans developed by Dosimetrists; participate in calibration and safety surveys.
