The Department of Radiation Oncology at the Perelman School ofMedicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for anAssistant Professor position in the non-tenure academic cliniciantrack. Expertise is required in the specific area of palliativecare and strong palliative training. The candidate must haveexperience with palliative radiation, and it is preferable to haveresidency or fellowship in a palliative program. Applicants musthave an M.D. or equivalent degree. Required certifications includeeligibility for American Board of Radiology Certification.

Teaching responsibilities may include the teaching, training, andmentoring of radiation oncology and medical physics residents,graduate students, and visiting trainees, etc. Informal and formalteachings include, but are not limited to, participating inresident didactic series, both as a lecturer and as an in-persondiscussant.

Clinical responsibilities may include providing stereotactic bodyradiotherapy (SBRT), proton therapy, intensity modulated radiationtherapy (IMRT), and high dose rate (HDR) brachytherapy as treatmentmodalities in the care of palliative cancer patients.
