Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a 1.0 FTE Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join the Radiation Oncology Division in Urbana, Illinois. The APP will be fully integrated within the institute, collaborating with radiation oncologists, medical oncologists, surgeons and other specialists to provide inpatient and outpatient cancer care.

Schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with no evening or weekend on-call.

Qualifications

• Master's degree from an accredited PA or NP program.
• Active IL license and DEA license or ability to obtain upon hire.
• Oncology experience preferred but not required; new grads welcome.

Responsibilities

• Assessment and care planning for inpatient radiation oncology consultations.
• Coordinate care for patients receiving radiation therapy, chemotherapy and brachytherapy.
• Management of treatment-related symptoms for patients undergoing radiation therapy.
• Outpatient follow-up care for patients completing radiation therapy.
