Cleveland Clinic Cancer Institute seeks qualified Physician Assistants or Nurse Practitioners for an Outpatient Radiation position with the Radiation Oncology Program at Indian River Hospital. This role involves managing outpatient adults during and after radiation therapy, including education and survivorship care.

Candidates with Advanced Practice Provider experience, especially in Radiation Oncology, are preferred.

Qualifications

• MSN required upon hire or within 3 years for APRN hires.
• Graduate of an accredited APRN program.
• Graduate of an ARC-approved Physician Assistant Program (PA).
• License to practice and prescribe issued by the state licensing board.
• National certification as a Nurse Practitioner or PA by a recognized certifying body.
• BLS required; ACLS/PALS/NRP may be required depending on work setting.
• Must be credentialed and privileged by the Medical Executive Committee and governing body.

Responsabilités

• Take medical histories and perform exams, order tests, and develop diagnoses and treatment plans with the care team.
• Prescribe and monitor medications as allowed by licensure.
• Educate patients about disease, treatment options, and potential drug effects.
• Participate in rounds and collaborate with nurses and other clinicians to ensure quality care.
• Refer patients to specialists as needed and ensure continuity of care across teams.
• Contribute to quality monitoring and discharge planning.
