Job description

Overview

The Johns Hopkins Department of Radiation Oncology and Molecular Radiation Sciences seeks an outstanding, clinically exemplary, academically focused radiation oncologist specializing in thoracic cancers to join the Department of Radiation Oncology. This candidate will practice primarily at the Thoracic Center of Excellence at the Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center at Bayview Medical Center in East Baltimore. The Thoracic Center of Excellence co-localizes multi-disciplinary experts in thoracic radiation oncology, thoracic medical oncology, thoracic surgery, and interventional Radiation Oncology to provide patient-centered coordinated same-day care in combined clinics and multidisciplinary clinics, with support from social work, smoking cessation, and chaplaincy. Research can combine clinical, physics, and/or biology-based interests, emphasizing innovative clinical trials. The successful candidate will work closely with the integrated clinical team at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, the National Capital Region, and The Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Qualifications

Requirements include an M.D. degree(s), ABR board certification or eligibility, demonstrated clinical competency in Radiation Oncology, and a strong interest in the clinical care and research of lung cancer patients.

The referenced salary range represents the minimum and maximum salaries for this position and is based on Johns Hopkins University's good faith belief at the time of posting. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range.
