Job summary

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health in Seattle seeks a board-certified Radiation Oncologist for a 0.8 FTE role within our collaborative team. The position supports patients across Seattle and nearby locations, delivering personalized treatment plans and multidisciplinary care.

You will work with a dedicated team to advance clinical standards, provide compassionate patient-centered care, and stay current with evolving radiation oncology practices in a highly integrated system.

Qualifications

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
  • Residency training in an ACGME-accredited program.
  • Board Certified in Radiation Oncology by the ABMS.

Responsibilities

  • Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with families and interdisciplinary teams.
  • Provide ongoing management and follow-up care for patients.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure a coordinated approach to care.
  • Stay current with research and best practices in Radiation Oncology to provide evidence-based care.
  • Be capable of working at multiple locations including Seattle, Burien, and Federal Way.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our 0.8 FTE Radiation Oncology Physician, you will join our collegial team at Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle. As part of our team, you will work alongside local and regional cancer care specialists, all dedicated to improving quality, enhancing patient experience, and advancing clinical standards for those we serve.

Every day you will provide compassionate and expert care, conducting thorough assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to support the holistic well-being of patients and their families.

To be successful in this role, you will be a skilled, board-certified, and compassionate Radiation Oncologist, You will also demonstrate a deep commitment to patient-centered care and the capacity to thrive within a collegial and supportive environment.

Have an interest in GU, CNS, and lung cancers, experience with HDR brachytherapy (GYN and prostate) and radiosurgery experience, but still be comfortable treating all disease sites.

  • Be capable of working at multiple locations that include Seattle and nearby locations in Burien and Federal Way.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with families and interdisciplinary teams
  • Provide ongoing management and follow-up care for patients
  • Offer guidance and support to patients and families regarding educational resources and community services
  • Collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure a coordinated approach to care
  • Stay current with research and best practices in Radiation Oncology to provide evidence-based care

Job Requirements
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution
  • Successful completion of residency training in an ACGME accredited program.
  • Board Certified in Radiation Oncology by the American Board of Medical Specialties
  • Ability to obtain a medical professional license in the State of Washington
  • Ability to obtain a DEA with full prescriptive authority in Washington State
  • Proven ability to work in an integrated multidisciplinary environment
  • Has a commitment to patient and team-centered medicine
  • Has outstanding interpersonal relationships with peers, administrators and staff
  • Has an interest in community-based radiation oncology within a highly integrated system
Preferred
  • 2+ years experience following training
  • EPIC Experience
  • Active Washington State Medical License

Pay Range

$465,600 - $465,600 /year
