Job description

Position Overview

Huron River Radiation Oncology Specialists (HRROS), PC, is a well-established group in Southeast Michigan seeking a radiation oncologist. This position is full-time, hospital-based, and partnership track, starting Summer 2027.

HRROS and Trinity Health

HRROS is an independent private practice of eight physicians looking to replace a retiring physician. We are a busy group practice closely affiliated with Trinity Health system clinic sites across Southeast, MI in Ann Arbor, Chelsea, Brighton, Canton, and Livonia, along with an opening site in Pontiac, MI located on the campus of Trinity Health Oakland. HRROS is a well‑established group with an effective presence within the hospital system, strong relationships with interdisciplinary teams, and consistent accrual to national cooperative group trials. HRROS actively participates in a Physician Organization and ACO with IHA (large, multi‑specialty group owned by Trinity) and other closely affiliated independent group practices. The Department benefits from a hospital‑based EMR (Epic) and strong hospital‑based staff and management, including a regional Executive Director for Oncology, a Director of Radiation Oncology, and strong managers for each of the following staff groups: radiation therapists; physics/dosimetry; and nursing/social work.

Technical Capabilities

HRROS has all of the latest technology, including Varian TrueBeam linear accelerators with SBRT capabilities, CT simulators with 4D capabilities at all sites, and CyberKnife. We also perform HDR brachytherapy (intracavitary and interstitial for GYN and prostate), LDR prostate brachytherapy, and radiopharmaceutical administration. The members of our technical team—physics, dosimetry, radiation therapists—are all highly capable and at the cutting edge of the latest technology.

About the Region

The communities we serve in Southeast MI include some of top places to live in the United States. In addition to an excellent workplace environment with collaborative and engaged colleagues, life outside of work is superb. There are numerous vibrant communities with thriving economies in the region we serve, along with top-rated schools, both public and private.

Requirements

The candidate must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Radiation Oncology. Candidates should have ample experience in all techniques of external beam radiation therapy, SRS/SBRT, brachytherapy, and unsealed sources. Candidates must have a current license as MD/DO and unrestricted federal DEA number. References should be available upon request.
