We’re seeking a Junior Radiation Health Physicist to support projects primarily for our Navy and uranium‑mining restoration clients, though our portfolio is broad and includes many other clients and projects.
Projects will involve a variety of field implementations for radiological assessments and remediation, plan development, data evaluation, desktop research and document reviews. Candidates must have experience in environmental projects that evaluate soil, groundwater, surface water, or sediments. Projects could be executed under EPA, NRC, Agreement States, USACE, or Tribal Agency authority and may include investigations, risk assessments, feasibility studies, engineering analysis, remedial actions and closures.
Field tasks are required and may include performing surveys and assessments, characterizing radiological materials in various matrices, implementing radiation safety practices, maintaining radiation protection programs, and ensuring regulatory compliance during project activities. You may also be involved with general environmental field and project tasks, working with project teams to deliver high‑quality data and deliverables to our clients.
A balance of remote and office work is expected, with a preference for candidates located in California. Time in the field may typically be approximately 50%, with occasional periods where travel is heavier than 50%.

Opportunities for leadership and ownership on projects are expected, and developing technical and project‑management skills will be further cultivated. The base salary range for this position is $74,700.00 to $112,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
