Northrop Grumman’s Space Systems Sector is seeking a Radiation Effects Systems Engineer – Level 2 or 3 to join our team in Redondo Beach, CA. This requisition can be filled at Level 2 Systems Engineer or Level 3 Principal Systems Engineer. The selected candidate will join the team as a Radiation Effects Systems Engineer and will be responsible for planning, executing, and analyzing tests to evaluate the effects of ionizing or particle radiation on various electronic components and systems. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the survivability and performance of our products in radiation-prone environments within space and nuclear hardness applications. As such, the candidate will be responsible for all activities associated with the development and execution of their assigned tests at the piece-part or hybrid level with potential to engage on radiation testing at the circuit level or higher levels of system integration. *Please be aware that this position is contingent upon obtaining and maintaining associated business and/or customer funding. Additionally, this position is contingent upon the candidate obtaining final clearances and program access(es) within a reasonable period of time as determined by the company. Continued employment thereafter will be subject to maintenance of the level of clearance and program access required for the position in the future.

Primary Level Salary Range: $91,800.00 - $137,600.00 Secondary Level Salary Range: $114,000.00 - $171,000.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
