Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Certified Medical Dosimetrist to join the Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center - Oncology: Radiation team. The role involves producing and evaluating radiation treatment plans, contouring and image registration, and collaborating with physicians to optimize dosimetric parameters.

Travel to multiple departments may be required, with standard full‑time hours Monday through Friday. Required CMD or Board Eligibility and a Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Science or Medical

Qualifications

• CMD or Board Eligible certification required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Science or Medical Dosimetry.
• Typically one year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Produce acceptable treatment plans for radiation oncology patients.
• Contouring, image registration, plan optimization and plan evaluation.
• Assist simulator technologist with difficult patient setups.
• Create treatment plans which fulfill physician dosimetric parameters.
• Consult with the radiation oncologist in plan selection.
• Review treatment parameters with physician for plan approval.
• Supervise radiation therapists in implementation of the plan.
• Quality assurance checks on the treatment course.
• Verify patient documentation related to planning; participate in chart rounds.
• Provide remote treatment planning support and travel as needed.
• Maintain daily billing for billable physics and planning services.
