Job summary

JT4, LLC offers engineering and technical support for radar testing and evaluation across multiple western test ranges for US military programs. Engineers perform RF link budgets, signal processing analysis, waveform timing, and test scenario design to verify EW systems.

The role requires an ABET-accredited engineering degree, knowledge of radar theory, and the ability to work both in office environments and in field settings.

Qualifications

• Major or Minor in EE or Physics
• Basic radar signal processing understanding (phased array and ISAR)
• Basic understanding of the radar range equation
• Basic understanding of electromagnetic wave propagation
• Experience in anechoic chamber or open air RF testing

Responsibilities

• Calculate RF link budgets and interference levels for test scenarios
• Analyze radar signal to noise levels to meet mission criteria
• Determine data requirements to satisfy mission requirements
• Determine waveform timing to meet mission needs within duty cycle constraints
• Design test scenarios and waveform timing to verify EW systems
• Perform micro-Doppler analysis of radar returns to assess mission objectives
• Track radar data over time to evaluate health of systems
• Analyze 3-D position and attitude data to verify test objectives
• Convey complex radar information to non-domain personnel
• Write code (Matlab, Python) to analyze radar returns
• Provide software requirements to software teams
• Work independently on multiple tasks

Education
