Job summary

The National Guard seeks a Field Artillery Firefinder Radar Operator to locate enemy positions and relay coordinates to the unit. You will operate specialized radar and communications gear to acquire targets such as mortars and aircraft, helping alert defensive units.

Training includes Basic Training and Advanced Individual Training totaling 18 weeks, with classroom and field work. You will earn a regular paycheck and qualify for tuition assistance.

Qualifications

• Must be able to learn and operate radar targeting equipment.
• Willingness to perform physically demanding duties.
• Ability to work as part of a team under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain radio and wire communications.
• Construct bunkers and similar areas for field artillery.
• Maintain Firefinder radar with scheduled checkups.
