Job summary

Arcfield is seeking a full-time Physicist to support on-site at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) and work with the Code 34 Radar In-Service Engineering Agency (ISEA) team. You will perform analysis, design, and capability enhancements for Navy radar systems and provide in-service support for both new and fielded systems.

The role involves radiation transport calculations, H&V and EMP analyses, and planning/testing of radiation/electrical/mechanical environments.

Qualifications

• BS in Physics or Nuclear Engineering (or related STEM field).
• 2–4 years experience with BS or 0–2 years with MS.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
• Experience in experimental design, execution, and modeling.
• Experience applying physical models in formal analysis of systems.
• Experience in writing technical reports or articles.

Responsibilities

• Assist the customer in system planning, requirement definition, assessment, and qualification of Navy Radar systems.
• Develop technical documentation and briefings.
• Develop and maintain software code as deliverables to the Navy.
• Develop technical reports capturing inputs, outputs, and results.
• Develop and deliver presentations.
• Interface directly with the customer.
