Job summary

Beyond New Horizons, LLC is seeking a Radar System Engineer to support TOS II at White Sands Missile Range, NM. The engineer will design, develop, test, operate, maintain, and improve radar systems within a collaborative team.

The role requires expertise in radar theory, simulations, modelling, and hands-on hardware work. Strong communication, problem solving, and MATLAB/Python skills are essential. Overtime and shifts are common.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a related scientific or engineering discipline
• Five (5) years of professional experience in radar system architecture, integration, verification, and validation
• Two (2) years of programming experience utilizing MATLAB, MathCad, or Python
• Must be able to obtain and maintain an active security clearance and maintain authorized user access to the AEDC local area network
• S. Citizenship is required due to federal government contract compliance requirements and the necessity to access secure federal databases and networks

Responsibilities

• Knowledge of modern radar, Instrumentation and constituent technologies.
• Proficient in antenna and radar theory and associated hardware.
• Lead and advise in the acquisition and insertion of new capabilities into the NRTF enterprise.
• Train Operations personnel on new capabilities.
• Lead small development efforts, as well as rapid prototypes.
• Knowledge of RF components to allow for troubleshooting and new or modified design implementation.
• Must be able to work individually and as a team member, able to take direction but must also lead and direct the work of others.
• Knowledge of specification development for new system acquisitions.
